Berks coroner rules on death following Route 183 accident

The Berks County coroner’s office said Saturday that a Tennessee man died of multiple injuries a week earlier in a crash on Route 183 in Penn Township.

Paul J. Sarduy, 29, died at 8:48 a.m. on May 21 in Reading Hospital, nearly three hours after the collision.

The manner of death was accidental, according to Chief Deputy Coroner George Holmes.

It was the 11th traffic death this year in Berks.

State police said Sarduy was southbound near Old State Road when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a northbound vehicle.
