Berks County’s East Side Dave Featured on European Party Band REDNEX Video and Song

From Dave Kline Productions

Berks County native, singer, songwriter, entertainer, writer, producer, “East Side Dave” Kline handles the lead singing work for the latest single by the European Party-Techno-Dance Band REDNEX, released on Friday, Aug. 8.

Known as the “Cotton-Eyed Joe” party band worldwide for their recording of the same name, REDNEX producers, based in several countries in Europe and Asia, found and recruited Kline to begin singing leads on their recordings back in 2024.

“Poor Boy Pour” is a take on the classic Charlie Poole hillbilly song “Take a Drink on Me.” Charlie Poole was an extremely popular American musician who performed old-time and hillbilly-country music between 1925 and 1930.

Once recruited by REDNEX, Kline recruited his colleague and friend, Dave Lewis, from Lewis’ Mount Penn recording studio, Gangsta Beagle Studio, to step in as Kline’s vocal recording engineer. Together, Kline and Lewis worked by computer with engineers in Europe and Asia to produce what was needed and desired for the main lead vocal track of “Poor Boy Pour.”

While all of this is going on, the band is also working on creating a song for the wildly popular annual EuroVision competition for 2026, and Kline and Lewis continue recording and performing for several other bands.

“Poor Boy Pour” has been released worldwide on all major digital download and streaming platforms on Friday, Aug. 8, including Amazon Music, Apple Music, Apple iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, etc. The band has been performing the song live in concert sets in Europe, and audiences love it.
