Berks high school honor roll: Jan. 17, 2022

Boys basketball

Reading High junior Ruben Rodriguez scored a career-high 35 points in a 77-60 win at Harrisburg, 20 points in a 67-63 victory at Chester and 16 in an 85-52 win at Conrad Weiser.

Girls basketball

Brandywine Heights freshman Addison Benner scored 19 points in a 53-26 win over Tulpehocken and a career-high 22 points in a 57-43 victory at Oley Valley. She also scored 18 points in a loss to Pine Grove.

Boys bowling

Exeter junior Keith Lerch rolled a 730 series in a 2-1 win over Hamburg and a 700 series in a 3-0 victory over Reading High.

Girls bowling

Muhlenberg junior Frankie Kelly rolled a 688 series in a 2-1 win over Conrad Weiser, a 602 series in a 2-1 loss to Schuylkill Valley and a 528 series in a 2-1 victory over Reading High.

Boys swimming

Exeter junior William Fanning won the 50 free and 100 breast and swam on the winning 200 medley and 200 free relays in the Eagles’ win over Schuylkill Valley..

Girls swimming

Exeter junior Megan Unruh won the 200 free and 100 breast and swan on the winning 200 medley and 200 free relays in the Eagles’ win over Schuylkill Valley.

Wrestling

Twin Valley sophomore 126-pounder Jacob Grzybek rallied from a 5-0 deficit after two periods to score a fall in the finals of the BCIAA Individual Tournament. Grzybek became the Raiders’ first county champion since 2018.
