Gov. Mifflin senior Nick Singleton rushed for 330 yards and a Berks County record-tying seven touchdowns to lead the Mustangs to a 63-35 win over Warwick in the District 3 Class 5A quarterfinals.
Boys soccer
Tulpehocken junior Owen Harris had the only goal in the Trojans’ 1-0 win over East Juniata in the first round of the PIAA Class 1A playoffs.
Girls soccer
Wyomissing junior Cadi Hoke had a goal in the Spartans’ 3-1 win over Montoursville in the first round of the PIAA Class 2A playoffs, and had an assist in a 2-1 loss to Allentown Central Catholic in the PIAA quarterfinals
Girls volleyball
Twin Valley senior Alyssa Green had 35 assists, 23 digs and five aces to help Twin Valley beat Hollidaysburg 3-1 in the first round of the PIAA Class 3A playoffs in its first appearance in states. Green had 43 assists and 15 digs in the Raiders’ 3-1 loss to Freeport in the quarterfinals.
