Baseball
Gov. Mifflin junior Ethan Grim struck out nine over three innings and went 1-for-2 with a two-run single to help lead the Mustangs to a 12-2 win over Trinity. Grim also struck out 10 in Gov. Mifflin’s 6-0 win over Hempfield and had two doubles in the Mustangs’ 15-0 win over Pottsville.
Boys basketball
Reading High senior Yadiel Cruz scored 21 points and in the process eclipsed 1,000 career points in the Red Knights’ 79-65 loss to Central York in a PIAA Class 6A semifinal.
Girls basketball
Wyomissing junior Amaya Stewart scored 18 points in the Spartans’ 47-31 loss to Blackhawk in a PIAA Class 4A semifinal.
Boys lacrosse
Twin Valley sophomore Colin Gallagher had four goals and two assists in the Raiders’ 15-0 win over Warwick before scoring four goals in a 14-7 victory over New Oxford.
Girls lacrosse
Schuylkill Valley senior Reese Weddle scored a game-high 11 goals and had one assist in the Panthers’ 20-12 win over Ephrata. Weddle also scored a game-high seven goals and had one assist in Schuylkill Valley’s 20-6 win over Pottsgrove.
Softball
Conrad Weiser senior Abigail Frantz pitched a no-hitter with five strikeouts in the Scouts’ 14-0 win over Tulpehocken.
Boys track and field
Berks Catholic senior Brady Mider won the shot put at the Tim Cook Memorial Invitational held at Chambersburg with a throw of 53-0.5.
Girls track and field
Wilson sophomore Maddie Henne won the discus at the Tim Cook Memorial Invitational held at Chambersburg with a throw of 110-1.
Tennis
Conrad Weiser junior Armaan Malik went 3-0 in No. 1 singles to help the Scouts earn wins over Elco, Tulpehocken and Brandywine Heights. Malik also won a No. 1 doubles match with teammate Jio Garcia in Conrad Weiser’s 7-0 win over the Trojans.
Volleyball
Exeter senior Jack Forry had 33 assists, five digs, one ace and one kill in the Eagles’ 3-0 win over Brandywine Heights.
