Blue Mountain High School’s Green Club completed its fall Adopt-A-Highway road cleanup on Nov. 6 on Second Mountain Road.
In all the group filled 15 trash bags with litter and large items. PennDOT sponsors the Adopt-A-Highway program, providing materials and disposal of the garbage.
The Green Club is an environmental club composed of ninth- through 12th-graders that focuses on schoolwide recycling, local beautification projects, bluebird monitoring, and environmental education outreach to students and families in the district.
