Boscov’s accepting Bed Bath & Beyond coupons

Boscov’s Department Stores has announced it is accepting Bed Bath & Beyond coupons in all Boscov’s stores through May 31.

Customers can bring mailed Bed Bath & Beyond coupons into Boscov’s to be exchanged for $10 off any one purchase of $50 or more, according to a press release.

“We’re happy to make those BB&B coupons useful and introduce shoppers to Boscov’s at the same time,” Jim Boscov, CEO and chairman of Boscov’s, said in a statement. “They’ll find that we carry many of the same products they’re used to seeing plus a store full of other departments including apparel, cosmetics, jewelry, handbags and more.”

The Boscov’s announcement comes after Bed Bath & Beyond’s bankruptcy filing April 23 and start of chainwide final sales on April 26. The chain stopped accepting its own coupons in stores as of Wednesday, as its operations wind down nationwide.

Boscov’s is headquarted in Exeter Township, Berks County, and operates 49 stores in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Ohio. Twenty-six stores are in Pennsylvania, including eight in Berks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. In February, the retailer announced plans for its 50th store in Bridgeport, W.Va., which is expected to open in fall 2023.

Two other retail chains have also announced they are accepting Bed Bath & Beyond coupons this month — Big Lots and The Container Store.

In an announcement Thursday, Big Lots said shoppers can exchange all expired Bed Bath & Beyond coupons at any Big Lots store and receive 20% off their entire purchase of $50 or more through May 7.

While it didn’t mention Bed Bath & Beyond by name, The Container Store said it will “honor competitor blue coupons.” On its website, the chain said valid “blue coupons” will be accepted in-store only and redeemed for 20% off a single item through May 31.

On April 23, Bed Bath & Beyond filed for relief under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the district of New Jersey to “implement an orderly wind down of its businesses while conducting a limited marketing process to solicit interest in one or more sales of some or all of its assets.”
