A box truck snapped a utility pole Monday morning on Pricetown Road in Alsace Township.
The accident happened shortly before 9 a.m. along the westbound shoulder just east of Skyline Drive. Dispatches indicated a telephone pole was snapped, bringing wires down onto the road.
The truck ended up along the westbound shoulder, and the driver reportedly suffered hand and knee injuries.
State police responded along with fire and ambulance crews.
A crash report was not immediately available from state police. A Verizon crew was dispatched to remove the pole.
Met-Ed was also notified because the pole also carried power lines.
Fire police were dispatched to control traffic.
