Boyertown Halloween Parade entertains crowds once again

Spectators once again lined the streets of Boyertown for the return of the Boyertown Halloween Parade after COVID-19 restrictions canceled last year’s parade.

The Boyertown Halloween Parade Association’s 68th Annual Boyertown Halloween Parade featured everything from spooky to fun on Saturday, Oct. 23, including marching bands and twirlers spinning batons on fire.

Let’s Get Dancing dance studio of Boyertown participated with their Alice in Wonderland float and Pack 367 of New Hanover floated on a pirate ship. Troop 36 of Gilbertsville collected nonperishable food items. Rotary Club of Boyertown carried signs to show that Boyertown is “No Place for Hate.”

Three divisions of individual walkers, floats, bands, entertainers, groups, organizations and local businesses participated, including Pit Stop the Clown. Individuals popcorn girl, Knoebels Phoenix Roller Coaster and Rider, and Men in Black with an alien flying saucer.

The parade route started at Second and Madison streets and followed Philadelphia Avenue to Reading Avenue to S. Warwick Street, E. Second, S. Washington, E. 3rd Street, Monroe to 2nd Street and concluded on Franklin.
