A forced fumble by Anthony Famularo in the fourth overtime gave visiting Boyertown a 42-35 win over Pottsgrove on Friday night.

After Leo Egbe ran for the go-ahead score to put the Bears ahead, Famularo came up with the clutch play to seal it.

Boyertown’s Ryder Gehris passed for 103 yards and two touchdowns and ran for two scores. Leo Egbe and Roman Marinello had the Bears’ other two scores.

Ryan Sisko threw for 95 yards and two TDs for the Falcons and rushed for another. Tyler Kaufman was on the receiving end of both passing TDs.

Amir Brunson ran 24 times for 113 yards and two touchdowns for Pottsgrove.

The teams each scored touchdowns in the first three overtime periods.

Both teams scored in the first OT period when Boyertown’s Gehris tossed to Luke Ordway and Sisko found Kaufman for Pottsgrove.

In the second overtime, Gehris kept it himself for a touchdown before Amir Brunson ran for a score on Pottsgrove’s first play to tie it 28-28.

Gehris tossed to Brandon Shane for the Bears’ third OT score before Sisko scored on a run to send the game to a school-record fourth overtime.

The teams combined for three touchdowns on the first three drives of the game and 28 points in the first half before pitching shutouts in the second half.

Boyertown jumped out to a 7-0 lead on its first drive when Gehris scored from the 10, which was set up by his 51-yard completion to Oakes.

A long return by Pottsgrove’s Bryce Caffrey on the ensuing kickoff set up a 19-yard touchdown run by Brunson on the next drive.

When Boyertown got the ball back, Marinello ran 12 yards to give Boyertown a 14-7 lead, which stood at the end of the fourth.

A 39-yard touchdown pass from Sisko to Tyler Kaufman late in the second quarter made it 14-14 at the half.
