Brandywine Heights was eliminated from the District 3 Class 2A Team Wrestling Tournament with a 63-12 loss to West Perry Monday at Elliottsburg.
The fifth-seeded Mustangs (15-4) won the match’s first nine bouts, six by pin and three by forfeit, to take a 54-0 lead. West Perry had seven pins overall.
The 12th-seeded Bullets (7-6), making their first appearance in the tournament since 2010, got wins by forfeit from Jacob Greiss at 106 and David Brecht at 113.
West Perry advances to take on fourth-seeded Northern Lebanon (16-5) in Wednesday’s quarterfinals at Boling Springs at 6 p.m.
Third-seeded Berks Catholic (11-2), the Berks runner-up, will face sixth-seeded Newport Wednesday in the quarterfinals at 6 p.m. at Bishop McDevitt. The Buffalos defeated 11th-seeded Elco 45-24 in the first round Monday.
