The Berks Family Business Alliance, a program of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA), will host “The Fall forum with Sealstrip,” 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., Abraham Lincoln Presidential Ballroom, 100 N 5th S., Reading. Heather Chandler, president of Sealstrip, will present “From Pastries to Packaging: A Sweet Story of Creating a Best Place to Work.” Growing up with entrepreneurial roots — her parents owned a bakery —  Chandler learned early on the dedication it takes to succeed. The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce will host a “REACH Luncheon — What Can Taylor Swift Teach Us,” 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Copperfield Inn at Lakeside, 594 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick Township. The luncheon will feature E. Michele Ramsey, Ph.D., associate professor of communication art and sciences and women’s gender and sexuality studies at Penn State Berks. She teaches a class called “Taylor Swift, Gender and Communication.” This session will address how Swift has crafted her audience, takes a look at the impact of Swift’s work on women of all ages, and how marketing and social media have helped Swift’s image. The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) will host the “2024 Wells Fargo Economic Forecast Breakfast,” Redner’s Event Center, 2024 Centre Ave., Reading, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Keynote speaker Jay H. Bryson, Ph.D., managing director and chief economist for Wells Fargo’s Corporate and Investment Bank, will present “The U.S. Economic Outlook.” Bryson will explore how the U.S. economy will fare in 2025 and 2026.
