The following area students received awards this fall from the Kutztown University psychology department: Michelle Kenstler, Kempton, Psi Chi Model Student; Mandy Maiers, Brecknock Township, Field Experience Award; Samantha Smith, Alburtis, Student Leadership Award.
Honor society
Maren Cole, Kempton, was inducted into the Kutztown University chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma honor society for criminal justice.
Pinning ceremony
Connor Sausser, Bern Township, received a pin from faculty members at Central Penn College, Summerdale, Cumberland County, in one of the final steps in health occupation training at the college.
Pins are presented to students training to become medical assistants, phlebotomists, occupational therapy assistants, physical therapy assistants, surgical technicians and dental assistants.
