District 3 officials announced Sunday that the District 3 field hockey championship tripleheader will be played Saturday at Central Dauphin’s Landis Field.
The site had been listed as TBA on the brackets on the District 3 website.
The Class 1A game will begin at 1 p.m. followed by the 2A game at 3 p.m. and the 3A game at 5 p.m.
The sites for third-, fifth- and seventh-place games have not been announced.
The District 3 semifinals will be played Wednesday at the site of the higher-seeded team.
In Class 1A, Oley Valley will be home against Boiling Springs at 6 p.m. In 2A, Twin Valley will host Northern at 5 p.m. In 3A, Wilson will visit Lower Dauphin at 7 p.m.
Those three Berks teams already have qualified for the PIAA Tournament, which starts Tuesday, Nov. 8.
Fleetwood is in the Class 2A playback bracket and will host Garden Spot at 7 p.m. The winner of that game will qualify for the PIAA Tournament and play for fifth place on Saturday. The loser will play for the district’s seventh and final PIAA berth on Saturday.
