Children’s theater to be presented at Sweet Arrow Lake

The Popcorn Hat Players Theater for Children will appear Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 8 p.m. in the Sweet Arrow Lake clubhouse, Pine Grove.

The program will feature a delightful assortment of Aesop’s famous fables, including “The Cat Maiden,” “The Two Frogs,” “The Dog and His Reflection,” “The Old Man and the Fly,” “The Lion and His Advisors” and “The Ant and the Grasshopper.” Children will laugh at the antics of Aesop’s crazy characters and learn some valuable lessons along the way.

The Popcorn Hat Players troupe has been entertaining families since 1993, bringing fairy tales, folk tales and fables to new audiences every year. Using creative comedy and improvisation, the players write original adaptations and breathe new life into unforgettable stories. Their mission is to tell classic stories in new and exciting ways for the entertainment and enlightenment of children and adults alike. They have been recognized by the press and the public for the quality of their productions and their ability to keep classic stories relevant and alive.

PHP’s appearance is made possible with a grant from the Reidler Family Charitable Fund. Although the program is FREE and open to the public, reservations are required due to limited seating. Masks will be required. To make reservations call 570-345-8952 and leave a message.
