Chris Fieger Sr. shot a 3-under 67 Sunday at Reading Country Club for a two-round total of even-par 140 and a one-stroke win in the Berks County Golf Association Senior Amateur.
David Blichar finished second at 72-69—151. Nick Hromiak was third at 72-70—142.
Gil Fritz won the Super Senior Division (65-over) at 77-74—151. Fred Lewis was second at 75-77—152.
Fieger, a 59-year-old from Denver, Pa., who plays out of Foxchase GC, trailed Blichar and Hromiak by one stroke following Saturday’s first round, and was still a stroke down after all three played the front nine at 1-under 33 Sunday.
Fieger took the lead with a birdie on No. 13, then followed with another birdie on No. 14. He played the back nine in 2-under 34.
Blichar shot even on the back, with a bogey on No. 5 and a birdie on No. 18. Hromiak shot a 1-over 37 on the back. He made bogeys on 11, 14 and 16, and birdies on 13 and 14.
