Conrad Weiser’s team of Emma Perkins and Michelle Timothy lost in the PIAA Class 2A girls doubles final Saturday at Hershey Racquet Club.
Perkins and Timothy, the District 3 champs, were beaten in the final 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4) by Knoch’s Emily Greb and Lindsey Greb.
The Weiser team had two set points in the second set, but were unable to convert.
Greb and Greb are the District 7 champs.
Perkins, a sophomore, and Timothy, a senior, advanced to the final by beating District 2 champs Madeline Defaber-Schumacher and Bella Aniska of Riverside 6-2, 6-1 in Saturday morning’s semifinal.
Perkins was going for her second straight state doubles championship. She teamed with then-senior Alex Pancu to win the title last year.
