Coroner called to rollover accident in northwest Berks County

Emergency crews have been dispatched Saturday to a rolled-over vehicle in Penn Township in the woods along Plum Creek Road.

The dispatch occurred about 10:15 a.m.

Emergency radio traffic stated that a female crawled out of the wreckage and that there was a male still in the vehicle, possibly entrapped.

The vehicle was reportedly about 50 feet down an embankment. Crews soon began the process of cutting open the vehicle to get to the male.

A short time later, the coroner’s office was called to the scene.
