Cressona American Legion Post 286 and its auxiliary will host a free Veterans Day dinner Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at 1 Front St.,
Lasagna, salad, bread and dessert will be served. If you are a homebound Veteran living within 5 miles of the Cressona American Legion and would like a dinner delivered, please call 570-617-4288.
All veterans are welcome (proof of Vvteran status needed, and one guest permitted).
Cressona American Legion Auxiliary Unit 286 will be hosting its annual Children’s Christmas Party on Saturday Dec, 3 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the post.
The party is for children up to 12 years of age who are related to any member. Santa will be there to hand out presents, and refreshments will be served. Signup sheet is located at Post 286 canteen. Deadline to sign up is Sunday Nov. 13.
