Dentist Makes Room for More Sweets in Boyertown, PA

by The Peppermint Stick Candy Store & Ice Cream Parlor

Dentist makes way for more sweets! The Peppermint Stick Candy Store announces expansion into dentist location as an ice cream parlor with a vintage soda fountain.

Boyertown’s favorite candy store is expanding! After years of delighting customers with their vast candy selection, Rachael and Gene Kehler, the store’s owners, are opening an old-fashioned ice cream parlor complete with a vintage soda fountain.

This expansion is made possible by the recent relocation of Boyertown Family Dental, previously located next door. For years, customers enjoyed the humorous location of a candy store next to a dentist’s office. Dr. Jay Valenci and Rachael Kehler have enjoyed years of jokes from customers and patients. Rachael assures us that there were no kickbacks from Dr. Jay!

The new addition, aptly named The Peppermint Stick Parlor, promises a delightful experience for all ages. Over 16 ice cream flavors will be available, along with everyone’s favorite sundaes and banana splits. But the real star of the show will be the vintage soda fountain. Imagine creating your own custom soda concoctions, just like in the good old days.

Gene and Rachael have spent the last few months purchasing vintage soda and ice cream equipment to create an authentic parlor atmosphere. In addition, Gene will be using his talents to build displays that make you feel like you step back in time once again. From the moment you go inside, prepare to be transported to a 1940s soda fountain shop.

The Peppermint Stick Parlor is set to open in early September. In the meantime, stop by the candy store and enjoy a delicious ice cream cone to show your support for this exciting new chapter.
