Development plans pending in Berks include 88 units in Robesonia

The Reading Eagle publishes this monthly list of development projects reviewed by the Berks County Planning Commission to keep the community informed. The information comes from the commission’s monthly meeting. The projects listed have not been approved, just reviewed.

Plans are introduced at the municipal level. A developer submits the plans to a borough, township or city. The municipal officials send the plans to the county for review and recommendations to make sure the plans meet codes and existing comprehensive plans.

The plans or aspects of the development projects may also be reviewed and approved by other agencies such as the Berks County Conservation District and the state Department of Environmental Protection.

Municipalities are responsible for giving projects the go-ahead or requiring changes, and those decisions are made at local meetings that must be open to the public. You can find out about meetings in the public notice section of the Reading Eagle or on your municipality’s website.

This list includes land development and subdivision plans reviewed from Sept. 23 to Oct. 20.
