Deven Sheerin throws five-inning no hitter as Exeter handles Cedar Crest

Exeter pitcher Deven Sheerin got off to a hot start in the Eagles’ 10-0, season-opening win over Cedar Crest as he struck out the first 11 batters on his way to throwing a five-inning no hitter.

Sheerin, a senior and 2022 all-division selection, finished with 14 strikeouts.

Chase Cupitt led the offense for the Eagles (1-0) with a double and two RBIs. Alex Kelsey reached base three times, scored two runs, and stole two bases for Exeter.
