Exeter’s perfect season in boys volleyball continued Saturday with another three-set win, this time in the PIAA Class AA quarterfinals over Blue Ridge at Wilkes University.
Exeter (23-0) won by set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-22 to advance to Tuesday’s semifinal against Manheim Central at 7 p.m. at Cocalico High School in Denver.
The Eagles, the tournament’s top seed, have not lost a set all season.
On May 30 in the District 3 championship match, Exeter beat Manheim Central 25-22, 25-20, 25-18.
Blue Ridge, the District 2 champion, finishes the season 20-2.
Manheim Central (17-1) advanced to the semifinals with a three set win over Holy Redeemer, the runner-up from District 2. The scores were 25-11, 25-9, 25-20.
On the bottom half of the bracket, a pair of unbeatens play Tuesday.
Meadville (19-0) and Mars (22-0) will meet at 6 p.m. at Shenango High School in New Caste.
The winners of Tuesday’s semifinal matches will play for the state title at 11 a.m. Saturday at Penn State’s Recreation Building.
