Game recap: Bryson Stott and Matt Kroon hit solo home runs Friday night to help the Reading Fightin Phils defeat the Portland Sea Dogs 8-3 for their fourth straight Double-A Northeast League victory at Hadlock Field.
Stott hit his 10th home run in the first inning and Kroon hit his fourth in the the fifth inning.
Stott, who also hit his 21st double, went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Kroon was 2-for-4 with a two RBIs and two runs scored.
Madison Stokes was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for Reading.
Hans Crouse (1-2) allowed two runs on three hits over five innings to earn the win. Losing pitcher Denyl Reyes allowed six runs on eight hits in 4 2/3 innings.
On deck: The Fightin Phils and Sea Dogs play their fifth game of their six-game series Saturday at 6 p.m. at Hadlock Field.
