Fleetwood Area High School Students of the Month

MARCH STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

Cloey Rentschler

The daughter of Aaron and Tiffany Rentschler of Fleetwood, Cloey has been involved in Future Business Leaders of America, American Sign Language Club, Class Officer, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Women’s Empowerment, Pit Orchestra, County Band, District Band, Student Council, National Honor Society and Rho Kappa Historical Honor Society.  Also, she volunteers with Tigers in the Park, STEM camp, and as an assistant coach for Fleetwood Girls Softball Association.

She really admires her mother, Tiffany.  Cloey states that her mother does just about everything and anything and always does it with a smile on her face and is always willing to help others and see the best in them.

Her future plans are to attend a four-year university to study neuroscience and then attend a medical school to become a physician.

Ryan Hromiak

The son of Nicholas and Wendy Hromiak of Blandon, Ryan has been involved in the Golf Team, Future Business Leaders of America, Basketball Team, Baseball Team, National Honor Society and Rho Kappa Historical Honor Society.   Also, he voluntees at Muhlenberg Elementary School to help run family events and the FBLA Food Drive.

One person Ryan really admires is the movie character Maverick in “Top Gun.”

“His role taught me that sometimes, it is good to take risks and put yourself in danger for desired benefit of not only yourself, but others around you,” said Ryan.

Another person he admires is Bob Marley for his bravery of attempting to make peace in Jamaica through the world of music.

His future plans include attending the University of South Carolina to study finance with future plans of becoming an entrepreneur.

APRIL STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

William Maurek

The son of Stacey Maurek and Frank Maurek of Blandon, William has been involved in Envirothon, Soccer, Track, Football and Chorus.  Also, he is a volunteer firefighter at Fleetwood. He participates in his church’s youth group which includes mission trips to other states.

William really admires several people in his life, which include his grandfather because of his leadership, his aunt for helping educate him on how to take care of his body and heal from sports, and Johan Cruyff for coaching him to become a better soccer player.

His future plans include attending Kutztown University while continuing training in firefighting and EMT.

Riley Spannuth

The son of Justin and Melissa Spannuth of Blandon, Riley has been involved in Chorus, Choraliers, Men’s Chorus, Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Drama Club, Student Council, Class Officer, Blood Drive Coordinator, Poetry Club, Women’s Empowerment Club, Rho Kapp Historical Honor Society, National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Relay for Life and TV Media. He is also involved in community theater at Genesius Theatre in Reading and participates in Mini-THON to help in the fight against pediatric cancer.

One person Riley really admires is Taylor Swift because she is such a big musical inspiration and such an incredible writer.

His future plans include attending Belmont University to study commercial music.
