Gov. Mifflin’s Ben Gerhard voted Pennsylvania’s top high school boys water polo player

Gov. Mifflin senior Ben Gerhard was voted the Player of the Year in the state and two Wilson players also were voted to the first team of the Pennsylvania State Water Polo League All-State team.

Gerhard had 125 goals and 16 assists this season to help Gov. Mifflin finish third in the state tournament.

Also voted to the first team were Wilson senior Chadd Corson and Wilson junior Kagen Boettner. Boettner had 109 goals and 20 assists. Corson finished with 62 goals and 65 assists to help Wilson finish fifth in the state tournament.

Voted to the second team were Gov. Mifflin’s Mason Woolwine and Matt Novotny, and Wilson’s Isaiah Eberly.

Receiving honorable mention were Gov. Mifflin’s Caden Blanford and Tedd Stabolepszy, Muhlenberg’s Beau Stricker, Reading High’s Tristin Hertzog, and Wilson’s Tyler Boland.
