Gov. Mifflin’s Valleri Addis named Berks Bowler of the Year in girls bowling

Gov. Mifflin junior Valleri Addis was named the Berks Girls Bowling League Bowler of the Year and Gov. Mifflin’s Kari Addis was named Coach of the Year, the BCIAA announced on Monday.

Valleri Addis, daughter of Kari Addis, finished second in the Berks individual tournament last Thursday and helped lead the Mustangs (26-1) to a Berks I title.

Addis is joined on the All-Berks team by Daniel Boone senior Kristin Fitzcharles, Exeter sophomore Haley Schwenk, Gov. Mifflin junior Lily Watts, Muhlenberg senior Emma Dietrich, and Wilson sophomore Brielle Turner.

Schwenk is a two-time selection, while Addis and Watts earned their third selections. All selections were made by the league’s coaches.

In her seventh season as head coach, Kari Addis led Gov. Mifflin to a 26-1 overall record and a Berks I title. The Mustangs will look to compete for back-to-back county championships at Jay Lanes this week, as the team tournament begins with the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
