The Hamburg Area High School Class of 1970 celebrated their 50-year reunion (one year late due to the COVID-19 pandemic) at the Golden Oaks Golf Club on Oct. 2. The 87 participants enjoyed an evening of camaraderie, reminiscing, dancing and all round good cheer. The honored guest was Dr. James A. Gilmartin who was assistant principal at the time and later served many years as the Hamburg Area School District Superintendent. Like most reunions, they were able to catch up on each other’s lives and share good memories while also welcoming back to the fold classmates attending their very first reunion.
