Hamburg Grange presents $4,000 donation to Hamburg fire company

Hamburg Grange #2103 recently presented a donation of $4,000 to Hamburg Union Fire Company No. 1 thanks to proceeds raised at the Grange’s sold-out pot pie dinner held in March.

The dinner sold out in an hour and 45 minutes.

Grange members served a total of 464 units, which included people that ate in-person, purchased quarts, and/or take-out meals, during the all-you-can-eat chicken pot pie dinner held on March 23 at Hamburg Area High School.

“We want to thank Hamburg Area School District for allowing us to hold this worthwhile event so that we could present a check of $4,000 to the Hamburg Union Fire Company No. 1,” Grange said in the release.

Hamburg Grange would also like to thank the 17 Hamburg Grange members and the other 20  volunteers that helped, including a Helping Hands Group, as well as Thrivent for the financial donation of $250, for making this event successful.

The Grange (Patrons of Husbandry) is a fraternal family organization, that includes the children, parents, and grandparents of families, as well as individuals dedicated to the betterment of the American way of life through community service, education, legislation, and fellowship.

Hamburg Grange also belongs to the National Grange, the Pennsylvania State Grange, and the Berks County Grange.
