from Hamburg Public Library
The Hamburg Public Library is proud to announce a celebration of its 120th anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. This milestone marks over a century of community service as the library continues its mission to provide a welcoming space for learning and growth.
This year’s anniversary is especially meaningful as the library embarks on its next chapter. During the event, attendees will witness the groundbreaking ceremony for a new addition to the library, a project that symbolizes the library’s ongoing commitment to serving the community’s evolving needs. This expansion aims to enhance access to resources, create more space for programming, and foster a more inclusive environment for patrons of all ages.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate both our rich history and our exciting future,” said Chelsea Williams, the director of the Hamburg Public Library. “The library has been a cornerstone of Hamburg for 120 years, and this new addition will allow us to continue providing valuable services to our community for generations to come.”
The public is invited to join this special occasion at the Hamburg Public Library, located at 35 N. Third St., Hamburg. Light refreshments will be served, and library staff and board members will be available to share details about the new project.
