Holiday Poinsettia Tree at The Highlands at Wyomissing Honors Loved Ones

from The Highlands at Wyomissing

The Highlands at Wyomissing, the only non-profit Life Care Community in Berks County, is kicking off the holiday season with the annual display of its poinsettia tree, which is open to the public now through Jan. 3, 2025.

This 30-year tradition began as a fundraising opportunity to aid The Highlands at Wyomissing’s Endowment Fund, which provides support to residents.

What began as a fundraiser has become a timeless tradition beloved by The Highlands residents and their families, staff, and the greater Berks County community. Each year, staff and residents can purchase a poinsettia plant for the holidays, and a portion of the proceeds go toward the Endowment Fund.

“The poinsettia tree is more than a festive display,” said Kevin DeAcosta, President and CEO of The Highlands at Wyomissing. “It is a powerful symbol of life, love, and care during the holidays.”

The Highlands extends a warm invitation to the community to visit and take photos of the nine-foot tree daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at The Highlands Rotunda, 2000 Cambridge Ave., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Please enter through the Main Entrance.

The Highlands at Wyomissing is a life plan community under the newly formed Aspire for Well-Being non-profit holding company, which also comprises Aspire for Well-Being Home Care and Aspire for Well-Being Healthcare Staffing.
