Humane Pennsylvania Hosts Pet Food Donation Drive to Support No Pet Hungry: Million Pet Meal Challenge

from Humane Pennsylvania

Humane Pennsylvania invites the community to join the No Pet Hungry: Million Pet Meal Challenge, an ongoing pet food collection to benefit Spike’s Pet Food Pantry, with the ambitious goal to provide one million meals to pets in need across Berks and Lancaster counties—and beyond!

Spike’s Pet Food Pantry helps families keep their beloved pets by providing the pet food they need, ensuring no one has to make the heartbreaking decision to give up their pet due to financial hardship.

To help achieve their goal, Humane Pennsylvania is hosting a Donation Drive Drop-Off Day on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at its Reading and Lancaster campuses:

  • Reading Campus: 1729 N. 11th St., Reading, PA 19604
  • Lancaster Campus: 2195 Lincoln Hwy. E., Lancaster, PA 17602

In 2024, Spike’s Pet Food Pantry accomplished an amazing feat, gathering 241,979 pounds of pet food – the equivalent of 967,916 meals for pets in need. With the goal of one million meals within reach, Humane Pennsylvania is encouraging the community to contribute and help make one million meals a reality.

To make the event even more special, Pet & Family Photos with Santa will be available from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at both locations! Instead of a photo fee, participants are encouraged to bring a pet food donation as their contribution.
