From Jewish Federation of Reading/Berks
The Jewish Federation of Reading/Berks is delighted to host Adam Nimoy, director and author of The Most Human, a memoir about his relationship with his father, Leonard Nimoy, known to millions as Mr. Spock. Mr. Nimoy will speak at the Literatour Berks Kickoff event on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m., at the Jewish Cultural Center (JCC), 1100 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing. Mr. Nimoy’s book, The Most Human, is available for advance purchase with ticket purchase. Copies will also be available on the day of the event. Tickets to the event include a bagel brunch. Attendees will also receive information about future author visits.
Adam Nimoy is a graduate of UC Berkeley and Loyola Law School. After seven years in entertainment law, he left to pursue a directing career. Nimoy has directed over 45 hours of network television as well as a critically acclaimed documentary about his father, For the Love of Spock. He has been in 12-step recovery for 21 years. He will speak about how 12-step recovery and Jewish wisdom enabled him to repair his relationship with his father, Leonard Nimoy.
Literatour Berks, in its seventh year of programming, features exceptional Jewish authors from around the country. Ten authors will visit Reading this year, covering a range of topics and titles to engage, educate, and entertain the whole community. Each event includes an author talk followed by a book sale and signing.
