The Berks County Parks & Recreation Department continues to present programs promoting nature, history, and outdoor activity throughout the month of July 2025.
Tuesday, July 8, to Thursday, July 10 | Art in the Park | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. @ Bingaman House
We’ll play games, make crafts, and read stories — all while enjoying the outdoors! Geared towards ages 7 to 12.
Cost is $40 per child. | Registration is required.
Thursday, July 10 | Secrets to Stunning Forest Photos w/ Ranger Jerry | 6 p.m. @ Antietam Lake Park
The woods are full of beautiful surprises and are an ideal setting for aspiring iPhone photographers.

Friday, July 11 | Concert: Stephanie Grace | 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. @ Gring’s Mill
Bring your own chairs, blankets, and stay the evening! Food trucks include JR’s Brisket and Greco’s Italian Ices & Homemade Ice Cream.
Free. | Open to the public.
Monday, July 14 | Second Monday at the Wagon Works | 11 a.m. to noon @ Heritage Center
On the second Monday of the month, the Berks County Heritage Center is offering guided tours of the Gruber Wagon Works from 11 a.m. to noon.
Adults cost $7, seniors cost $6, and students cost $5. | Registration is required.
Tuesday, July 15 | Bilingual Storytime | 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. @ Heritage Center
Join Miss Lucia for a story! Stories read in Spanish and English will share a nature theme, accompanied by activities and a craft! Geared towards ages 3 to 7.

Wednesday, July 16 | Drop-In Art Camp: Junior Ranger Camp | 9 a.m. to noon @ Bingaman House
Adventurers ages 7 to 12 get Ranger ready with the Berks County Parks Rangers!
Cost is $15 per child. | Registration is required.
Friday, July 18 | Pop Up Program: Guided Sunset Kayaking | 6 p.m. @ Stilling Basin, Blue Marsh to Gring’s Mill Portage
In this guided program, we will float down the Tulpehocken Creek, enjoying the sights and sounds around us on the way. Please bring your own kayak, paddle, life vest, and planned transportation between launches.

Saturday, July 19 | Family Fishing Day | 6 p.m. @ Antietam Lake Park
Join Parks Staff and Rangers as we enjoy an evening of fishing fun.

Sunday, July 20 | Blue Marsh and the Pleasant Valley-One Last Look | 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. @ Berks County Heritage Center
This slide presentation will provide a historical background of what once existed where the Blue Marsh Dam is today.

Sunday, July 20 | Pennsylvania Wildlife w/ Red Creek | 6 p.m. @ Gring’s Mill Barn
Red Creek Wildlife Center will offer a presentation on some of Pennsylvania’s native wild animals, featuring live animal ambassadors!

Tuesday, July 22 | Intro to Dungeons & Dragons with Rangers | 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. @ Heritage Center
Whether you have never played D&D before, are interested in starting, or have tried but don’t have a current group, join us at the Heritage Center for a monthly one-shot. Kids ages 8 to 18.
