Keller Williams Platinum Realty was honored with the prestigious Reading-Berks Association of REALTORS® (R-BAR) Most Food Donated Per Capita Award on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the R-BAR Year-End Brunch held at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading. The award recognized the office for collecting 5,540 pounds of food for Helping Harvest during the annual R-BAR Fall Food Drive, which ran from Nov. 1 to Nov. 30. In total, R-BAR members collected 7,076 pounds of food this year.
Susan McFadden, Operating Principal/Owner at Keller Williams Platinum Realty, shared, “This is the second year in a row that Keller Williams Platinum Realty has received the Reading-Berks Association of REALTORS® Most Food Donated Per Capita Award. A key element in our success is Amanda Nettles, Director of Operations for my team The Susan McFadden Team. She played an instrumental role in organizing the drive. To help increase donations over last year, Amanda led a class for our agents, teaching them how to engage with their neighborhoods and encourage food donations. She also created marketing materials for everyone to use. The food collection drive is our office’s largest community outreach initiative. It not only allows us to give back but also provides a meaningful way to connect with our clients. I am incredibly proud that, once again, our Keller Williams Platinum Realty team and clients went above and beyond to ensure our neighbors have healthy, happy holidays.”
“As the former chair of Keller Williams Platinum Realty Outreach Committee, I have had the opportunity to see first-hand how all the brokerages in the Reading-Berks Association of Realtors impact our Berks community during the food drive that the Association hosts each fall. The food drive is a great way for all the brokerages to give back to a community organization like Helping Harvest. What is so amazing is how Keller Williams Platinum Realty staff and agents continue to step up and give so generously year after year,” stated Jack Evans, RealtorÒ at Keller Williams Platinum Realty.
“Give where you live,” is a quote strongly believed by Tyler Miller, RealtorÒ at Keller Williams Platinum Realty. “Participation in the R-BAR Fall Food Drive means more than just donating food; it’s about joining forces with others to create change. It is a team effort between myself and my fellow Keller Williams Platinum Realty team members, and that’s what makes it so special. I think we all have a small part to play in addressing issues like hunger. While any one of us may not be able to solve the problem individually, when we come together, our collective efforts can have a truly significant impact.”
“Each year, my husband Pat and I feel truly blessed to join our fellow Berks County RealtorsÒ in the Helping Harvest food drive. It’s heartwarming to witness the incredible generosity of our neighborhood, and knowing we’re doing something good for others makes it so rewarding. This event also gives us the opportunity to connect with our neighbors on a personal level, which makes it even more meaningful. We’re grateful for the chance to give back and, God willing, will continue to be part of this inspiring tradition for years to come,” said Deb Hassler, Associate Broker at Keller Williams Platinum Realty.
