Kutztown Leo Club bingo event raises over $3,000 for Relay for Life

The Kutztown Leo Club hosted a charity bingo event to benefit the Relay for Life on Jan. 13.

Held at St. Paul’s Church in Kutztown, the event featured 16 basket bingo games, a 50/50, several raffles of local wares, and an impromptu auction, all coordinated and accomplished by members of the high school Leo Club.

Between proceeds from the games and food concessions, the club raised more than $3,300, all to be donated to the cancer charity.

“The Leo Club would like to thank all our extremely generous sponsors and families! Without them, this bingo would not be possible. Please check out their websites and stores for more information,” the club stated in the announcement.

Sponsors included City Cuts Barber Shop, Headlines Beauty Salon, Tommy Boys Pizza and Café, Betty’s, Firefly Bookstore, Heart and Hearth Deli & Smokehouse, Dietrich’s Meats, CJ Hummels, Litzenberger Financial Services, Kempton Vacation Rentals, Paisley and Company, Jonathan’s Spoons, Claypoole Hex Signs and the Dietrich, Litzenberger, Stump, Robertson, and Haring Families.
