The Borough of Kutztown Concert Series in the Park will feature a free concert by the Kutztown Area School District Summer Band on Thursday, Aug. 8.
Students musicians will take the stage at the Kutztown Park bandshell rain or shine from 7 to 9 p.m. The annual concert has been held every year for the past 10 years or more.
Under the coordination of elementary instrumental music teacher Kathy Mohler, the concert features performances by elementary, middle and high students participating in the Kutztown Area School District’s instrumental music lesson programs. Joining them will be a few guest instrumentalists. The concert includes an assortment of songs.
Come early for seats inside the bandshell or bring chairs and blankets for seats outside on the lawn area.
The park concession stand Cougar Café, run by Saucony Café, will be open for food and drinks before and during the show.
The free Concert Series in the Park is made possible by the Borough of Kutztown and the support of co-sponsors.
