Kutztown University will play at Slippery Rock in a NCAA Division II quarterfinal game Saturday at noon.
The Golden Bears (11-2), seeded third in Super Region One, will travel to face fourth-seeded The Rock (12-1) because Slippery Rock was the lone remaining school in the region to submit a bid to host in the third round.
Kutztown beat Slippery Rock 31-7 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship Game at Andre Reed Stadium on Nov. 11.
The Golden Bears advanced with a 32-31 victory over No. 24 Charleston in the second round. KU tied its program record for victories in a season by winning its program-record 11th straight.
The Rock, ranked 15th in the nation in Division II, advanced with a 45-34 win over top-seeded and previously unbeaten Tiffin.
Kutztown will be making its second appearance in the national quarterfinals. The Golden Bears lost 30-28 to Shepherd in 2021.
