Letter: America’s decline began with election of Obama

I believe America’s decline started when we elected a president who had neither American nor Christian values — Barack Obama. He said he would fundamentally change America.

While campaigning for him in Puerto Rico, his wife, Michelle, said in part: “To start afresh from the aches and pains of our past, Barack knows we’re going to have to make sacrifices. We’re going to have to change the conversations. We’re going to have to change our traditions and history. We’re going to move to a different place as a nation, and Barack is the man to do it.”

Some believe Obama is achieving that agenda through the presidency of Joe Biden. It’s clear that Biden is only a Democratic puppet, incapable of doing or saying anything without cue cards or support of some kind.

When you see the attacks on Christianity and nuclear family values, along with the destruction of historic statues and attacks on American traditions like Columbus Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, is that Obama’s hope and change?

Our free speech is under attack. The FBI and Department of Justice are used against political opposition as is done in Marxist-communist countries. We only honor our veterans one day a year but honor gay pride and Black history for a month each.

Do you remember when Obama lit the White House in rainbow colors to mark same-sex marriage but had to be shamed into wearing an American flag lapel pin? I do. God help America.
