Letter: Biden should get credit for great accomplishments

The January jobs report shows the unemployment rate at 3.7%, continuing two years of unemployment of under 4%, the longest such stretch in more than 50 years. In 2023 the unemployment rate was at its lowest since 1969.

Not bad accomplishments for an 81-year-old. Being over 75 does not mean having trouble making good decisions. Though there are certain expectations as we grow older that are challenging (like when I thought I could still skin the cat), it doesn’t mean that our skills at functioning in a manner that enables making good decisions diminish.
