Letter: Disruptive, rude activities continue to plague Reading

Recently people have been complaining about problems that had been mitigated but suddenly started again. Kids are still out at around midnight, people still race their vehicles at all hours and fireworks are being set off at 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Not only is this disruptive and rude, but the repetitiveness of the problems is making it harder to just ignore or put up with. It seems like without Reading police doing their job, people will happily flout rules as much as they please.
Reading either needs a new mayor or to pass strict laws on these kinds of things. If we don’t do anything, these problems will continue, and Reading will be deserving of the negative connotations that people give it for being a lawless and completely unreasonable city.
