I am about to turn 79 and was raised in the church. I’m no theologian, but I did learn the basics of what is right and what is wrong.
I’m baffled by the caucus results in Iowa, which claims to be a highly evangelical state. Why would people vote for a traitor to our country, tax evader, adulterer, bankruptcy artist and racist who admires dictators and acts as if he wants to be one. Many died due to his inactions through the pandemic. He chastised leaders and those who gave their lives defending our country on the battlefield.
Despite all this, people want former President Donald Trump to be the pastor of their church. He surely belongs in church and should be taught the ways of God, but he should not be on the altar teaching us his ways in the life of sin.
I have traveled extensively and know that we live the best right here. I have seen none better. This country was made great by immigrants in the past, and those crossing our border today will continue that.
Given the chance, this country will continue to be what so many in this world admire. We are a democracy and much greater than the dictatorships where the masses are suppressed. To those leaders we are a thorn in their side.
Are the people of Iowa ready to change all that they have already? They should just look at what all this country has given them without Trump?
