Letter: Judge makes right move blocking airline buyout

The proposed buyout of Spirit Airlines by JetBlue is a striking example of fewer airline competitors resulting in higher fares as well as reduced consumer travel options.

Kudos to the federal judge who would not allow the deal to go through (“JetBlue buyout of Spirit blocked,” Reading Eagle, Jan. 17).
Hopefully, more federal and state jurists will follow this example.
