Letter: Museum official honored to salute those who served

Editor:

November is the month when we honor our military veterans. Since 2016 I’ve been honored to set up a display at the Brandywine Middle School. The display contains uniforms, articles, books, letters and pictures of veterans who have served. It takes several days to set up and take back to our Topton Museum. However, that is a small inconvenience to pay so that we can honor and remember those who have served and made each of us so proud to be an American.

We remember many who paid the supreme sacrifice: Charles A.K. Grim, Ray A. Master, Lee Gallmoyer, Lee Schlegel, Laird Heiser and Larry Hoch are just a few.

December is a month for family gatherings, exchanging gifts and enjoying the spirit of the season. It is also the time to remember the birth of a child. A child who went on to become a man who never wrote a book or held public office. A man who died on a cross and rose again. A man who influenced our lives more than any other person upon this Earth.

It would be so great now if we could find peace in our world. It also would be great if in our great country we could find a way for people to work together and help make America great again
