Letter: U.S. must continue effort to stop Russian aggression

Editor:

“At a conclave held at Munich in September 1938, representatives of Great Britain and France compelled Czech leaders to cede the Sudetenland in return for Hitler’s pledge not to seek additional territory. The following year, the German army swallowed up the remainder of Czechoslovakia.” — The National World War II Museum.

Members of this Congress might want to enlighten themselves by becoming familiar with events in history before refusing aid to Ukraine. I have no expectation that many of these lawmakers will think beyond maintaining their jobs, not incurring the disfavor of a self-serving ex-president, their poll numbers and contributions.

What is worse is that instead of solving problems and initiating bills, etc., that would help their voters, they prefer to waste time on pursuing vendettas against their “enemies” and ignoring the Constitution.
