Library Cardholders Can Save Money at Local Businesses This September

Library cardholders can save money at local businesses this September when they show their library card. The Berks County Public Library System is partnering with 24 establishments for the Show Your Library Card & Save initiative to provide special deals and discounts as part of National Library Card Sign-up Month.

Frequent library users recognize they can save money by using their library card to borrow books, movies, and more. The Show Your Library Card and Save partnership aims to emphasize the cost-saving benefit of a library card by unlocking additional deals at local businesses from Monday, Sept. 1 to Tuesday, Sept. 30, during their regular hours of operation.

  • Peter Pipers Pickle Palace
  • Plum Creek Farm Market & Creamery
  • Reading Community Players
  • Rollie’s Place

Library cards are free to receive at any of the 23 member-library locations in Berks. To apply, you must provide a photo ID and proof of residency. Children under age 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian when applying for a card.
