A man was fatally shot in southeast Reading overnight, according to city police.
Officers responded shortly before 1 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a shooting and located the victim, Darius Francis, 27, suffering from gunshot wounds, investigators said.
Francis was taken by ambulance to Reading Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a staff physician.
As of 10:15 a.m., when a news release from city police went out, investigators had no information to release on a shooting suspect.
The investigation is ongoing.
