MG-Architects is pleased to announce that Eddit Marmolejos Gil, Design Technician, has been appointed as Secretary of the Board for the Berks Latino Workforce Development Corporation (Tec Centro Berks). In this role, Eddit will be responsible for the administrative tasks of the Board, including organizing meetings, keeping detailed records, and ensuring the Board’s operations run smoothly.
Tec Centro Berks is dedicated to providing education, training, and career development opportunities for the Latino workforce in Berks County. Eddit’s appointment as Secretary aligns with her commitment to community service and her passion for supporting initiatives that empower the local Latino community.
Eddit moved to the Reading area three years ago from the Dominican Republic. She holds degrees in both Architecture and Interior Design and is a licensed professional architect in the Dominican Republic. Currently, she is working towards her licensure in the United States.
Eddit is an active member of the local community, serving on the city of Reading Equal Business Opportunities Board, focused on the development of broad policies that govern the implementation of institutional plans and policies. As a resident of the city, she also serves as a board member for the Community Housing Development Organization of Berks County. In addition to her community involvement, Eddit is a visual artist who recently exhibited her photography with the community action organization, Barrio Alegria. Finally, Eddit also presents material on architecture to elementary school students in our region, including Reading School District and Opportunity House 2nd Street Learning Center.
In her role as a Design Technician at the firm, Ms. Gil supports the Architects and Project Managers with design documentation, developing 3D models, and construction administration. Her bilingual skills also allow her to assist MG-Architects’ diverse client base effectively.
Eddit’s involvement with Tec Centro Berks reflects MG-Architects’ ongoing dedication to workforce development and community engagement, as the firm has long been an advocate for initiatives that promote local economic growth and education.
