Members 1st Credit Union receives a 2024 Telly award

Members 1st Federal Credit Union has been awarded a 2024 Telly Award for a video campaign that featured two if its members.

In the fall of 2023, Members 1st launched a campaign featuring its members — Ken and Lesley Logan — who used a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) to adopt their daughter, Jeanie. The video that documented their journey is titled “A Members 1st Adoption Story.” It has been named a bronze winner in the Social Video —Testimonial & Consumer Review category of the Telly Awards, the company said Wednesday in a press release.

“This honor is an incredible testament to hard work, creativity and collaboration across our organization, and exemplifies the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people.’ We are grateful the Logan family trusted our HELOC team to help them secure their loan and allowed our marketing team to tell their beautiful and moving story,” Chad Adams, chief relationship officer, Members 1st, said in a statement.

The video was created by Members 1st associates: Kyle Cooper, multimedia specialist; Nicholas Garisto, multimedia specialist; Whitney Foote, marketing manager; and Allison Bush, marketing specialist, the company said.

“The team puts in tremendous effort to communicate how our products and services can fulfill our members’ needs aspirations through all of life’s moments and milestones,” Adams added.

The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens and are judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks and production companies, according to a press release.

“The caliber of the work this season truly has reflected the theme of going beyond the frame. Our industry is experimenting with new technologies like never before, crafting truly compelling stories to draw attention to some of the world’s most pressing issues,” Amanda Needham, Telly Awards managing director, said in a statement.

Nearly 13,000 entries were received from around the world for this year’s awards — a record number — according to the release.

Members 1st is headquartered in Enola, Cumberland County, and has nearly 600,000 members and $7 billion in assets. It operates nearly 60 branch locations across 10 Pennsylvania counties, including three locations in Berks County — in Exeter, Cumru and South Heidelberg townships.
