Muhlenberg and Exeter advanced to the BCIAA Girls Tennis Team Tournament semifinals with wins on Friday.
Berks I runner-up Muhlenberg defeated Berks II third-place finisher Kutztown 4-1 at Laureldale. Berks I third-place finisher Exeter swept the singles matches to defeat Berks II runner-up Berks Catholic 3-2 at Forino Sports Complex.
With the wins, Exeter (10-6) will face Berks I and two-time defending champion Conrad Weiser (11-0) Saturday at 2 p.m. at Robesonia. Muhlenberg (13-1) will visit Berks II champion Wyomissing (12-1) Saturday at 3 p.m.
The Muhls got straight-set singles wins from Judith Manta, Jen Manta and Monica Lopez. Muhlenberg also won at No. 1 doubles with Alice Bogia and Yaira Ortiz. Kutztown (9-6) scored its point with a forfeit win at No. 2 doubles to Emerson Erb and Maisy Kellum.
Exeter got singles wins from Anya Whitman, Haniska Kunduru and Saishree Mupparaju to down the Saints (9-5).
Berks Catholic earned doubles win at No. 1 with Julia Baney and Rebecca Adams and at No. 2 with Francesca Ditsky and Claire Pakradooni.
